From Equity by La Crosse’s SkyScan line of atomic clocks, this alarm clock shines the precise time in red digits on a wall or flat surface with its side-ported projector. The clock’s internal antenna picks up the NIST WWVB radio signal from the U.S. atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado, and sets itself accordingly for increased accuracy. Updating daily, the clock adjusts for Daylight Savings Time. The clock also monitors indoor temperatures to a tenth of a degree.The alarm clock’s round LCD screen conveys the time by the hour, minute, and second; a PM indicator signifies afternoon and evening hours. When the snooze alarm is engaged, the clock displays an alarm notification icon. For nighttime screen viewing, the clock’s dial lights up on demand. The clock relates the current month and day using its perpetual calendar, as well as the day of the week. To power the clock, two alkaline AA batteries are required.
